agents-md mod
Lets Claude Code read AGENTS.md files as project instructions, the same way it reads CLAUDE.md.

| Type | Built into Claude Code |

What it does
- One option, instructionFiles, decides how AGENTS.md is treated.
- claude-md-or-agents-md (the default): a project that has no CLAUDE.md of its own gets its AGENTS.md files loaded instead, in the same place and framing CLAUDE.md would have.
- claude-md-and-agents-md: AGENTS.md files load alongside CLAUDE.md. A file CLAUDE.md already imports is not loaded twice.
- managed-only: drops the project's and the person's instruction files and keeps only the organization's managed CLAUDE.md.
- claude-md: only CLAUDE.md, exactly as before; the mod adds nothing.
How to get it
- Built in and on in every session that can read AGENTS.md.
- Disable cc-plugin-agents-md in /plugin, or choose which instruction files load in your settings.
What you can learn from its code
If you are writing your own mod, this one is a good example of:
- Rewriting prompt context
- A userConfig option
